Due to coronavirus 2020 Olympics will be postponed and it will be the first time in history

The coronavirus pandemic has to lead to many things on stake and one more of those is that it might cause the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics that were before scheduled to be held from 24 July 2020 to 9 August 2020.

Senior International Olympic Committee official – Mr. Dick Pound mentioned that it is inevitable to conduct the sporting event amidst the coronavirus outbreak. Reports suggest that the event will likely be held in the year 2021 now, as it is not possible to risk lives this year.

The IOC said that the organization would wait four more weeks before announcing its judgment about the event.IOC had earlier ruled out any possibility of cancellation of the event. Chatting with media, Pound said: My interpretation of the IOC’s communications is that they do not want to cancel and that they do not think they will continue with the July 24 date.
