Sidharth Malhotra has completed around ten years in the industry, and the actor did not get it placed on a golden plate. He worked hard and made it to this level at present. He started his Bollywood career with Karan Johar’s film- Student of The Year in 2012.

He had the wrong time when he was trying to make it in the industry. He also said that those auditions he gave for ad features were unnecessarily rude to all the aspiring actors. In an interview with DNA, he said, “Most people were not civil, and were unnecessarily rude. Also, I had an immense sense of self-respect even then, which people mistook for arrogance. I always knew I’m beyond this bullsh**. I would turn around and say, ‘Tameez se baat Karo.’ I would speak in proper English, and most times, they didn’t like that.”

However, his hard work paid off, and he featured in the advertisement of ponds with a Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan. He felt very dejected before that and had major feelings of giving up.

In an interview to the publication, he added, “It was like a bloody jail where you have to say your name, number and act out something. Because half of us were clueless, we never got those jobs. People used to ask me to do some stupid, imaginary car-driving, or enact some lines or talk in some weird accent.”

Sidharth chose to enter the Bollywood industry as an assistant director before signing for his first movie under Dharma productions. He assisted directors on the sets of movies like – Dostana and My Name Is Khan.

We got to know about auditions from his interview as he said, “At auditions, they make you feel terribly small and unimportant. That’s why I digressed and became an assistant director. It was a very negative environment. It didn’t help me grow and kept me in the same loo.”

We are looking forward to seeing Sid in Shershaah, with his rumored girlfriend, Kiara Advani. He plays Param Vir Chakra Captain Vikram Batra’s role in the war film. Happy birthday to the superstar Sidharth Malhotra, and we wish he rocks the silver screen in his upcoming movie.
