
After the widespread outbreak of deadly disease COVID-19, several industries and businesses are facing major losses due to the lockdown imposed all across the country to curb the impact of the Coronavirus. Amidst this, theaters like Gaiety Galaxy are finding it difficult task to sustain themselves. With theaters shut since March 14, the popular theater seems to be in trouble.

Amid this, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has come to provide financial assistance to the iconic theaters. Akshay has already contributed Rs 25 Crores to PM-CARES fund and has helped several other initiatives amid Coronavirus lockdown. As per the report, Akshay came forth and offered to help the owner of Mumbai’s iconic theaters, Gaiety Galaxy, Manoj Desai. Desai told that Akshay called him up and told him that if the Coronavirus lockdown persists any further, he will help them out. The owner of the Gaiety-Galaxy approached a bank to seek a loan to pay off salaries to the staff of the theaters.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ was scheduled to hit the screens in March, but the lockdown forced the film to postpone. Post lockdown, the makers of ‘Sooryavanshi’ are expected to announce a new release date. The Bollywood drama film Sooryavanshi is directed by Rohit Shetty, features two talented actors of Bollywood, Ajay Devgan and Ranveer Singh in the film.
